黑料社区Federal Credit Union Offers $205,000 in Scholarships for 黑料社区Students

The 黑料社区 Federal Credit Union (黑料社区FCU) is establishing new scholarships and expanding existing ones for a total of $205,000 that will support 黑料社区students studying many disciplines.

The gift will provide support for 黑料社区Health Research Day, as well as scholarships at 黑料社区Sarasota-Manatee, the Morsani College of Medicine, Biomedical Engineering (a joint venture of the College of Engineering and the Morsani College of Medicine), and will support students in the Scholarly Excellence, Leadership Experiences, Collaborative Training program (SELECT) within USF鈥檚 Morsani College of Medicine.

鈥淔or sixty years, 黑料社区students, faculty and staff have contributed greatly to the growth and success of the credit union,鈥 said 黑料社区FCU CEO and president Richard J. Skaggs. 鈥淚t is an honor and a privilege to give back to the University through these scholarships. After all, supporting the educational advancement of future leaders is one of the best investments we could make.鈥 The scholarships are being created as 黑料社区FCU celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2019.

This most recent gift brings the 黑料社区FCU commitment to 黑料社区to over $825,000 for scholarships and programming throughout the University, including the Muma College of Business, 黑料社区Athletics, College of Education, Women in Leadership & Philanthropy, Morsani College of Medicine, 黑料社区World, College of Engineering, 黑料社区Sarasota-Manatee, and 黑料社区St. Petersburg making the overall impact of the 黑料社区FCU on the University鈥檚 faculty and students remarkable.

黑料社区Foundation CEO and Senior Vice President of University Advancement & Alumni Affairs, Joel D. Momberg shared, 鈥淭hese scholarships recognize the breadth and depth of talent throughout the 黑料社区System. Many more students will receive much-needed support as they pursue their academic goals and we are grateful for 黑料社区FCU鈥檚 longstanding commitment to our students.鈥

The five areas where scholarships are being established or expanded:

$50,000 鈥 黑料社区FCU SELECT Scholarship
$50,000 鈥 黑料社区FCU Scholarship to benefit the Morsani College of Medicine
